We were surprised earlier today when Google started offering Google Glass to everyone in the U.S. again. The company hadn’t made a public announcement. Also, so far as we knew, the company had already closed the store down to all new potential buyers. TechnoBuffalo reached out to Google to find out what was going on, and when the sale was set to end.
“This link was created to accommodate potential Explorers who were still in the pipeline from last week’s sale,” a spokesperson told TechnoBuffalo. “We’re shutting it down shortly. As always, we will continue to experiment with ways to expand the Explorer program in the weeks and months ahead.”
So, if you’re looking to buy Google Glass and missed out on your opportunity last week, you may want to move quickly. There’s no word on when it will shut down, but it sounds like the store isn’t going to be open very long.
